Zavack Photography | What To Expect

Considering my journalistic approach to my photography, my goal is to capture my clients when they aren't expecting it! To me, this provides the most realistic, innocent versions of everyone in the photograph. These are the exact memories I strive to give to my clients. These are the moments that make you feel something. These are the stories that can't be put into words.

LOCATION

I absolutely LOVE to photograph outdoors in the beautiful natural light. We can head to a park, the beach, a specific historic/urban area - whatever we come up with! There are so many beautiful places in this world to choose from. I’m happy to provide location recommendations in Long Island NY & Vero Beach FL. During our initial consultation through e-mail, text or phone (whichever you prefer!) we will talk about ideas for your portraits and what type of location would work best for you.

YOUR PERSONALITY

The best portraits have the photographer’s distinctive style, but are also infused with your own personality. I want you to look at your pictures years from now and be able to relive who you and your loved ones were at this moment in time. It may be that you’re looking for beautiful, classic portraits that show who you are, or you may be interested in a themed session that allows you to bring a creative and unique outlet to your images. Perhaps you want to capture the magic of childhood in your family’s portraits and let your children explore the imaginary games and fairytail characters they love. Or perhaps you and your fiancé love riding bicycles together or romantic picnics while relaxing on the beach. Many clients prefer a mix of classic and themed portraits in their session, and I look forward to brainstorming with you to create pictures that are perfectly you.

CLOTHING

Clothing is such an important element of a session. Clothing affects the overall tone of an image, and the best clothing complements both you and the location. In general, I recommend avoiding busy patterns and logos so that the focus is on you. I can provide specific clothing advice, such as how to harmonize clothing for family portraits if desired during the initial consultation.

CHILDREN & FAMILIES

Children and family portraits involve a lot of playfulness and fun. That’s when your child’s personality really shines through. I have a very patient approach with children, and I often alternate letting them play and asking for their focused attention. Some of my favorite portraits take place when children are simply just being themselves.

YOUR IMAGES

The collection you choose will arrive within our previouly discussed time frame, and contain a gallery of WEB hand-edited images (both in color and black and white), as well as a gallery of PRINT hand-edited images (both in color and black and white). I send you your very own personal online gallery containing our session together, which stays live for 4 weeks. You are able to download the entire gallery, or simply share via social media with easy 'one-click' options.
